About

We make coconut husk usable.

Bughaw Innovations is a Metro Manila materials team building plant-based coir composite products for hotel operations—designed around procurement, housekeeping, and reporting realities in the Philippines.

Bughaw Innovations is a Metro Manila materials team building a better end-of-life story for hotel products that are used once and thrown away. We work with coconut husk fibre and plant-based binders—Philippine agricultural byproducts and local ingredients that are often undervalued or discarded.

We turn that feedstock into a plant-based coir composite and design products around hotel realities: DOT accreditation standards, procurement specs, housekeeping turnover, and ESG reporting needs. We’re pilot-ready and accepting hotel expressions of interest, building with operators—not slogans.

See the five BughawPack lines in detail on Products, or register your property on For Hotels if you are planning a pilot.

Philippine origin

Made from Philippine coconut husk fibre (coir) and plant-based binders—sourced through local agricultural supply chains.

Regulatory pathway

Engaging DENR-EMB Region 4A to align on waste-reduction classification and documentation for responsible end-of-life.

Hotel grade

Designed against DOT accreditation standards and hotel-group ESG reporting needs—built for daily handling and clear documentation.

The three founders

The people behind the material

We’re a team of three. Each founder owns a different part of the work: material and testing, manufacturing and QA, and hotel operations. We share named bios and credentials directly with partners during pilot discussions.

Materials & testing

Leads the material work: coir, binders, formulation, and performance testing.

Manufacturing & QA

Owns production planning, supplier coordination, and QA.

Hotel ops & pilots

Translates hotel operations into specs procurement can approve.

How it’s made

How the material behaves

Bughaw sources coconut husk fibre (coir) as agricultural waste from Philippine farming communities and combines it with plant-based binders to create hotel-grade products — guest-amenity handles, bar-program accessories, and housekeeping items — that break down as plant matter instead of persisting as plastic.
