The material

What plant-based coir composite is

Plant-based coir composite is coconut husk fibre (coir) formulated with plant-based binders to replace plastic-heavy hotel disposables. It’s made from Philippine agricultural waste and behaves like the plastic hotels use today during a stay, then breaks down like other plant matter after use instead of persisting as plastic.

See how the team builds it on the About Bughaw page and browse the five BughawPack product lines on Products.

BughawPack

Five lines, one material

One material, five hotel use-cases—from guest rooms to housekeeping carts.

Biodegradable Razor — built for amenity kits with a plant-based coir handle instead of plastic-heavy grips.

Coconut-Husk Slippers — open-toe guest footwear designed for room turnover, then biodegradable after use.

Shampoo & Soap Bar Holder — keeps bars dry and presentable, supporting bar-based amenities with less plastic.

Back-of-House Essentials — daily-use items for housekeeping and operations, designed around real handling.

Biodegradable Bin Liner — a room-bin liner designed for routine housekeeping cycles and visible waste reduction.

Bughaw means blue

Bughaw means blue—the sky and sea we grew up with. We build materials that keep that blue visible, by replacing the plastic we throw away after one night.
